Jerry Cosenito and the Palos County, Illinois, Democrats rolled out the red carpet (well, at least the green and white pin) for Jimmy Carter when the president came to town. Cosenito was elected Illinois treasurer in 1978, becoming the first Italian-American to be elected to statewide office in Illinois. This 3 1/2 inch celluloid from the Eavenson collection is in excellent condition. First time in our auction.
