Zachary Taylor Mirror

Old Rough and Ready probably didn’t carry a mirror around to check his hairstyle, but at least some of his fans did. This is a Major General Zachary Taylor mirror. It’s a metal case listed in Hake as No. 3019 that opens up to reveal a mirror inside. The mirror is cracked but the metal 3 inch front picturing Taylor in profile is in excellent condition. Last one sold for $363 and had cracked mirror inside. Consignor adjusted minimum bid.
