The Woman’s Peace Party was formed in New York City in response to World War I. It had its roots in a women’s peace parade for peace in New York that included 1,500 participants in 1914. One year later, the Woman’s Peace Party was created with Jane Addams serving as its president. It is considered the first American peace party to use direct action, such as parades and protests, instead of simply working behind the scenes for peace. This 7/8 inch celluloid with Ehrman back paper is an important item from the pacifist movement, excellent.
