This dramatic item was made for the 1913 inauguration of Woodrow Wilson – just the second Democrat to be elected president since 1860. the sepia celluloid pin has a metal frame and is attached to a gold and black rosette (the colors of Princeton University, where Wilson was president at one time). Also attached is a set of ribbons that say “Woodrow Wilson’s Inauguration March 4, 1913” and “N.E.D. Assn., Reading, Pa.” Ribbon on right has slight tear near top, silver lettering on ribbon still very sharp.
