William Marland for Governor, West Virginia

William Marland became the youngest governor of West Virginia when he was elected in 1952. Marland later disappeared from public life. Years later Marland was found driving a taxi in Chicago; he had won a long fight against alcoholism. He spoke out about his problem, even appearing on the Jack Paar Show, before dying in 1965. This 7/8 inch celluloid is from the 1952 election. Excellent condition.
