Voters in West Virginia had the opportunity to approve women’s suffrage in 1916. This 1 inch celluloid with Bastian Brothers back paper if from that election. Alas, the pin wasn’t enough – the issue went down in and it wasn’t until March 10, 1920, that West Virginia legislators approved the issue by a single vote. Excellent, Rex Stark collection.
