W.S. Gould was elected governor of Kentucky in 1899. He served 50 days before being thrown out of office in an election dispute. He was replaced by William Goebel, who was assassinated soon afterwards. Some people thought Taylor was involved, but he fled to Indiana where he lived for a number of years when the governor of Indiana refused to extradite him to Kentucky. This 7/8 inch celluloid has a Whitehead and Hoag back paper.
