A very scarce suffrage item from England. The Women’s Social and Political Union was founded in 1903 by Emmelia and Christabel Pankhurst. The WSPU staged hunger strikes, broke windows and set abandoned buildings on fire to increase the pressure for the right for women to vote. This 7/8 inch enamel pin is in excellent condition.
