Alva Vanderbilt Belmont founded the Political Equality Association in 1909 and set up headquarters in her Madison Avenue mansion. Belmont became an advocate of the more militant suffrage style practiced by the Pankhursts in England. This rare 1 1/4 inch celluloid with National Equipment Co. back paper is a remarkable suffrage item in excellent condition.
