The Naval Air Station in Lakehurst, N.J. was founded in 1921 to become the center for lighter-than-air flight study in the U.S. It’s most famous moment came in 1937 when the spectacular crash of the Hindenburg stunned the world. Oh, the humanity! This 1 1/4 inch celluloid has a Whitehead and Hoag back paper, excellent condition.
