The Americus Club was an active Democratic Club in Reading, Pa. In 1949 its members had lots to celebrate at Harry Truman’s inauguration. This very scarce 2 1/8 inch celluloid jugate pictures Truman and Vice President Alben Barkley and has a Keystone Badge of Reading back paper. It is attached to an Americus Club ribbon. It all makes for a beautiful Truman item in excellent condition. Another great Truman pin from the Gil Gleason collection.
