Sligo, Missouri was a thriving industrial town at the turn of the 20th century, so it’s no surprise there was an active Republican Club there. This scarce 1904 pin pictures Theodore Roosevelt with Cyrus Walbridge, who was running for governor 1904. A very scarce TR coattail pin, this 1 3/4 inch celluloid has a few small print marks. Alas, Sligo didn’t fare as well as this pin over the years: the town is now pretty much a ghost town. Great pin with a great story.
