Texans McGovern Six Stars Pin

The eyes of Texas certainly are on this pin – it’s a rare McGovern for president 1 1/4 inch celluloid from the Lone Star state. Texas, like the rest of the Solid South, was sliding into the Republican column in 1972 and McGovern lost that state in a landslide. Maybe that’s why this pin is so hard to find. Excellent condition, Eavenson collection.
