Tennie C. Claflin also became known as Tennessee C. Claflin, Viscountess of Montserrat. Tennie was Victoria Woodhull’s sister who worked with her in spiritualism, investing, publishing and suffrage. She ran for Congress in 1871, later moved to London and became an English baronet. This 2 3/8 by 3 3/4 inch CDV is from her days in New York when she and her sister were celebrities. Slight edge trim at top.
