William Howard Taft’s trip to Mexico to meet President Porfirio Diaz was celebrated with this coloful celluloid pin. The big meeting took place on Oct. 16, 1909, in El Paso. The following day, Taft crossed the border to talk with Diaz again, becoming the first US president to visit Mexico. It’s a 1 ¼ inch button with dramatic colors and Ed. Hahn of Chicago back paper. Excellent condition.
