William Howard Taft gets some support from the Indianapolis News on this very scarce 1 inch celluloid pin. It has some minor print marks but that is normal for this pin. This particular example is in better shape than most. By the time Taft’s term of office was over, he apparently didn't think as highly of newspapers as the News did of him on this pin. He said, “Don’t worry over what the newspapers say. I don’t. Why should anyone else? I told the truth to the newspaper correspondents, but when you tell the truth to them they are out at sea.” From Hoosier Mark Griffith's collection
