You want to know the entire history of the Mexican War? Here it is on a single, remarkable poster. This rare 23 1/2 by 31 inch poster shows it all! Damaged on edges, some small rips, mounted on a piece of Masonite. This 23-3/4" X 31" hand-colored 1847 broadside of the Mexican War features both General Winfield Scott and Zachary Taylor. Its publisher appears to be Jos. Ward, 52 Cornhill St., Boston. Long ago mounted on hardboard (as was typically done in earlier days), there are some minor flaws around the edges and a split towards the bottom, but they will be scarcely noticeable once this piece is framed behind glass as it deserves to be. First time we've offered this rare item.
