The Yolo Basin Causeway opened in 1916, opening that part of California up to automobile travel and changing Sacramento forever. At its opening, the causeway was 3.1 miles long and the speed limit was 10 mph. It’s a little bigger with a little higher speed limit today. This beautiful 2 1/8 inch celluloid is from the causeway opening celebration, has a Brunt back paper and is in excellent condition.
