After he was nominated for president by the Progressive Party in 1912, Theodore Roosevelt was asked by reporters how he felt. “I’m as fit as a bull moose,” he said, unintentionally coining a new name for his party – the Bull Moose Party. This scarce 1 inch pinback from that campaign pictures the Bull Moose symbol, excellent condition. 1912 TR item from the Dennis Ritter collection.
