This 1984 pin is from the 16th Congressional District of Illinois. It backs Ronald Reagan for president, George Bush for vice president, Charles Percy for U.S. Senate and Lynn Martin for Congress. Percy lost to Paul Simon in 1984, but everyone else came out a winner with Martin defeating Carl Schwerdifieger (a victory celebrated by copy editors everywhere). Scarce 3 inch celluloid, excellent condition. This tough Illinois Reagan pin is from the Bob Rouse collection.
