A scarce Ronald Reagan New Jersey coattail with a fascinating back story. Robert Morris was an anti-communist who was chief counsel to the United States Subcommittee on Internal Security in the 1950s. He ran for the GOP nomination for the Senate in New Jersey in 1958 then moved to Texas, where he tried again in 1964 and 1970 (losing both times in the primary to George Bush). He moved back to New Jersey and tried again in 1982 and 1984. This 2 1/4 inch celluloid is from 1984, but not even hooking onto Ronald Reagan could win the nomination for Morris. Excellent condition. With all the great Reagan pins we've offered, this is the first time we've had this really scarce pin.
