Martin Luther King Jr. envisioned the Poor People’s Campaign before he was killed. His followers picked up the mantle and staged the campaign, culminating in a month-long stay in Washington, D.C. This is an exceptionally rare People’s Campaign 2 inch celluloid from 1968 with horse and buggy design. This pin is a true civil rights treasure. It has some faint background mottling that is barely visible. We had another of this pin in Auction #189 and it brought $1,390.
