Alton Parker and Henry Gassaway Davis appear with the most patriotic rooster in history on this classic 1904 campaign pin. The rooster is saying “Shure Mike,” a slogan that was widely used more than a century ago but that is unfamiliar to most Americans today (except, of course, for political collectors). This beautiful 1 1/4 inch celluloid has a Stand Pat Button Co. of Detroit back paper, excellent condition. Track record on this pin over $400 eight times and twice over $1,000.
