John Palmer (Union) and Simon Bolivar Buckner (Confederacy) were enemies during the Civil War, but in 1896 they teamed up on the ticket for the National Democratic Party. This rare 1 3/4 inch shell piece is a fantastic third party campaign item from that 1896 race, excellent condition.
