Rochester, New York, was a booming place in 1900. With a population of 162,600, it was the 24th largest city in America – just behind Kansas City and St. Paul and just ahead of Denver. This 1 1/4 inch railroad celluloid with Whitehead and Hoag back paper reflects the city’s prosperity. It was made for the local Sound Money Club to support William McKinley for president. Excellent condition. Another great pin from John Burkhardt's collection. We have not offered it in the last fourteen years.
