Solar eclipses were big news at the turn of the 20th century with scientific expeditions rushing off all over the globe to study them. This 1 1/4 inch celluloid brought the eclipse to politics, showing William McKinley eclipsing William Jennings Bryan. This rare 1 1/4 inch celluloid is excellent. Consignor adjusted starting bid to two/thirds of what he paid for the pin twenty years ago.
