This National Association of Colored Women’s Clubs pin honors Dr. Mary Church Terrell, founder of the group. Terrell also was one of the first African-American women to earn a college degree, was an activist for civil rights and suffrage and was a founding member of the NAACP. The 2 1/2 inch celluloid pictures Terrell and is in excellent condition.
