When Miriam “Ma” Ferguson’s husband was impeached as governor of Texas, she decided to run herself. With the slogan “Me for Ma, and I ain’t got a thing against Pa either,” she won the 1924 election, becoming the nation’s first elected woman governor. This 7/8 inch celluloid with Women’s Benefit Assn. back paper is in excellent condition.
