Rare Kentucky coattail pin from 1900 picturing William Jennings Bryan, Adlai Stevenson and gubernatorial candidate John Beckham. The 1900 election followed the contested election of 1899, in which William Goebel was elected governor and then promptly assassinated. Beckham, as the newly elected lieutenant governor, took over as governor and then won the special election in 1900. This 1 1/4 inch celluloid is faded but seldom is seen. We also have the McKinley-Roosevelt-Yerkes Republican coattail in this auction as Item No. 20.
