A rare Kentucky coattail pin from 1924 picturing John W. Davis with Sen. Augustus Owsley Stanley, who was famous for his calls for antitrust action against US Steel and the American Tobacco Co. Stanley was an avowed prohibitionist whose grandson also achieved a bit of notoriety. Owsley “Bear” Stanley was a close companion of the Grateful Dead who was well known for cooking up LSD in San Francisco. This 7/8 inch celluloid featuring Davis and Grandpa Stanley has some faint spots along bottom edge.
