A seldom-seen version of Charles Hughes for president campaign pin (not from the similar fob). Hughes did just about everything in politics except get elected president, and he came close to doing that. He was governor of New York and a U.S. Supreme Court Justice before running for president, afterwards was U.S. Secretary of State and returned to the Supreme Court as chief justice. This handsome 1 1/4 inch celluloid has a Whitehead and Hoag back paper, excellent condition. It is not off of a fob. It was made as a pinback and the pins are far tougher to find than those removed from fobs.
