In early 1916, Woodrow Wilson went on a “Preparedness Tour.” It took him to Des Moines, Iowa City and Davenport, Iowa, on Feb. 1, 1916. This 1 1/4 inch celluloid welcomed him to Des Moines, where he gave a speech denying that his calls for preparedness were being fueled by demands from munitions manufacturers. Excellent condition.
