James Cox was owner of the Dayton Daily News when the city was a magnet for genius. The Wright Brothers, Charles Kettering, John Patterson (NCR), Thomas Watson (IBM) and others walked the streets with him early in the 20th century. Cox was the Democratic Party nominee for president in 1920 and this scarce celluloid was part of his campaign. It’s a very scarce 1 1/4 inch pin picturing the man who has become the ultimate candidate in any collection. Excellent condition.
