An anti third term pin that actually is an anti Theodore Roosevelt item. You see this slogan in 1940 for FDR, but it had been used earlier in opposition to TR running in 1908, which is when this pin was made. Roosevelt had promised not to run for a third term and eventually kept that promise in 1908. Then his dissatisfaction with Taft led to his Bull Moose campaign and once again this pin came into play. This 1 1/4 inch celluloid has a Whitehead and Hoag back paper and is in excellent condition.
Washington Wouldn’t, Grant Couldn’t, Roosevelt Shouldn’t
