The work of artist Peter Max had a giant influence on society beginning in the 1960s in the psychedelic and pop art arenas. His style was widely copied and became identified with the anti-war and other youth movements. This 1 1/4 inch celluloid from 1972 has long been one of the most popular of all presidential campaign pins from the era because it features the Peter Max style. It supports George McGovern for president and brings back some powerful memories for those of us who were around at the time. Excellent condition.
