Joe Louis knocked out a lot of boxers and when it came to politics he took some big swings – but in this case his punch wasn’t enough to win the fight. This 1 1/2 inch celluloid is from 1940 when Willkie endorsed Wendell Willkie for president. Not only a great president item but also a pin that reflects the growing public role of African-Americans in politics. Excellent condition.
