A rare Dwight Eisenhower for president pin that adds Mamie Eisenhower to the picture. Ike and Mamie were married in 1916 when he was 25 and she was 16; in the ensuing years, the couple moved 28 times before finally settling in Gettysburg, Pa. This pin reflects Mamie’s popularity – as First Lady, the “Mamie Look” became a famous fashion term. This 3 inch celluloid is pretty fashionable itself. Excellent. We have not offered this pin in the last eleven years and only one we recall sold for $500.
