Harry Truman was an unlikely human rights champion with a Missouri background that included grandparents who had owned slaves. But stories about the mistreatment of black World War II veterans angered him and resulted in him working for civil rights even though it alienated some members of the Democratic Party. This 7/8 inch celluloid is a classic Truman and civil rights item in excellent condition. Pin has sold for as high as $446 and lowest was $178.
