Harry Truman was elected Eastern District Judge in Missouri in 1922 in his first step to the White House. It was an administrative job, much like a county commissioner. He lost his bid for re-election in 1924 but after selling auto club memberships for two years he decided politics was a better gig. He was elected presiding judge in 1926 and the rest, you could say, was history. This 7/8 inch celluloid is a rare pin from Harry’s first foray into politics. Excellent condition.
