An extremely rare John F. Kennedy coattail pin from 1961. This celluloid pin adds President Kennedy’s name to the campaign for Charles Witkowski, who was first elected mayor of Jersey City, New Jersey, in 1957. This 1 3/4 inch celluloid is an exceptionally hard pin to find. Witkowski lost the 1961 race to Thomas Gangemi (born in Italy, Gangemi later resigned when it was discovered he had never bothered to become a U.S. citizen). Excellent condition.
