Johnson Louisville 1964 Press Badge

Lyndon Johnson visited Louisville on Oct. 9, 1964 and spoke to a luncheon of Democratic leaders and then publicly on the courthouse steps. This rare 4 inch plastic press badge was from that visit, which included LBJ saying this about Vietnam: “We can’t pick other people’s governments. We have enough trouble picking our own.” Another item from the Eavenson collection in excellent condition.
