Hundred. W. Va. had a population of 710 in the 1920 census, so you can imagine there weren’t many of these John W. Davis campaign pins made. In fact, this is an incredibly rare Davis 1 1/4 inch celluloid from 1924. As far as we can recall, this is the first one we’ve ever offered. Not only is it ultra rare, it also is a really good looking pin with fantastic photo of Davis. There is a little fox mark on edge at 8 and slight spotting on left curl that cannot be seen from the front. Checking records over the last twenty years, this pin has shown up only once before and brought $14,000.
