Terry Carpenter was a Nebraska delegate at the 1956 Republican National Convention when he surprised everyone by nomination Joe Smith for vice president. There was no Joe Smith, but Carpenter was making the point that just about anyone would be better than Richard Nixon. This scarce 3 inch celluloid throws in Harold Stassen, who never liked Nixon, either. Excellent condition.
Joe Smith for Stevenson-Kefauver Club, Stassen-Carpenter Chapter
