This campaign poster goes way, way back in Jimmy Carter’s career. It’s a 14 by 24 inch cardboard poster made for Carter’s campaign for governor of Georgia. Carter first ran for governor in 1966, finishing third but forcing a runoff that eventually ended in the election of Lester Maddox. This poster is from that 1966 election; Carter was elected governor in 1970. Few minor spots.
