Well, this was one way to say goodbye – a secession envelope made in the early days of the Civil War. This rare envelope carries the names of President Jefferson Davis and Vice President Alexander Stephens and has seven stars, the number of states in the original confederacy. It’s a rare 6 inch envelope in excellent condition. Last time we saw this item offered in an auction, it went for more than $3,000. Our consignor wants to sell and authorized us to lower minimum bid.
