A rare Dwight Eisenhower coattail pin from the 1950s. There are a couple possibilities here: Chauncy Reed was a long-time Republican congressman from Illinios and Daniel Reed was a Republican congressman from New York. Both ran in 1952. The pin appears to have a New York union bug, so that’s a clue. This 2 inch celluloid has a few small spots, but is the first one we recall ever offering. Thanks to John Hughel, who tells us this is John Reed of Maine, who was elected governor in 1958.
