Charles Evans Hughes is heaven and William Randolph Hearst is, well, you know, not quite so divine. This 3 1/2 by 5 1/2 inch postcard is from the 1906 race for governor of New York. Voters opted for the heavenly option and elected Hughes over the famous newspaper magnate. Excellent condition. Auction #189 sold for $129.
