Truly an iconic Herbert Hoover campaign pin. This 7/8 inch celluloid with A.G. Trimble back paper was created because Hoover’s wife Lou wanted her own special pin to hand out when she campaigned for her husband in California. The poppy is the California state flower, so it became the theme for this “Hoo But Hoover” pin. Lou loved it and so do collectors. A classic item in excellent condition.
