Rare 8 1/2 inch Southern Whigs ribbon picturing Henry Clay. This 8 1/2 inch ribbon has 1839 and 1868 dates. Clay was the hero of the southern Whigs and while the Whig Party disbanded in the 1850s, there were still plenty of its advocates around after the Civil War and they remembered Clay fondly. Few spots, pinhole.
