Here’s another rare item that we don’t recall ever having in the auction. This is a Harry Truman item from 1948. It’s a brass horseshoe with embossed lettering that reads: “Dec. 6, 1948, Presidential Tribute.” There was a tribute given for Truman in Los Angeles on that date but we don’t know for certain if this horseshoe comes from that event. We do know that this 2 1/2 inch tall item is a rare Truman item from soon after his stunning election victory and is in excellent condition.
